Little Girl Tosses Souvenir Foul Ball Back Onto the Field

The crowd cheered Steve Monforto’s catch of a foul ball at a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game on September 16.  But the loudest cheer came when Monforto hugged his daughter after she tossed the ball back onto the field after he gave it to her to look at.

Monforto’s calm and fatherly hug did not go unrewarded.  A Phillies executive brought them a game ball later that night to take home.  On the Today Show, Monforto received another baseball.  This ball was signed by outfielder Jayson Werth, who hit the foul ball at the game.  Monforto and his family also received 4 Phillies jerseys.
