Camellia Bowl

The first Camellia Bowl was played in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1948. It was only played once in that location. A Camellia Bowl was played from 1961 to 1975 in Sacramento, California. As noted above, the current location is in Montgomery, Alabama, where the game has been played since 2014.
The bowl is named after a Camellia, the Alabama state flower. The college football game features a representative of the Mid-American Conference going up against a team from the Sun Belt Conference. The bowl is owned and operated by ESPN Events.

New Mexico Bowl

The Gildan New Mexico Bowl has been played each year since 2006 on the University of New Mexico campus. The sponsor, Gildan, is a clothing manufacturer. Since 2014, the game has featured a Conference USA team playing a Mountain West Conference team. The trophy for this bowl game is a 20-inch piece of Zia Pueblo pottery. The Zia symbol is also used in the bowl’s logo.

Las Vegas Bowl

The Las Vegas Bowl began in 1992 after being called the California Raisin Bowl from 1981 to 1991. Since 2001, the game has featured a team from the Mountain West and the Pac-12 conferences. Last year, Boise State beat Oregon 38 – 28.

Celebration Bowl

Founded in 2015, the Celebration Bowl features the champions of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and the Southwestern Athletic Conference. These two conferences include historically black colleges and universities. This game is a successor to both the Pelican Bowl and the Heritage Bowl.
