This division features the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and the Carolina Panthers. Based on these teams’ all-time winning percentage, this has traditionally been one of the weakest divisions in the NFL.

- The Falcons’ nickname is the “Dirty Birds.” It’s a reference to the 1998 teams where offensive players executed some entertaining dances for touchdown celebrations. Jamaal Anderson was the leader of these TD celebrations.
- The Falcons based their team colors on the Georgia Bulldogs team colors.
- The Falcons drafted Brett Favre but traded him to the Green Bay Packers.

NFC South Final Thoughts
The NFC South division features four teams who know what it’s like to pay your dues in the NFL. Other NFL divisions feature teams with stronger winning percentages and more Super Bowl appearances. However, NFC South teams have had some big wins.
The NFC has been very competitive, and fans from these teams love their football.
