2025 Enshrinees – Fantasy Football Names Hall of Fame

July 23, 2025

Introducing the Class of 2025 Inductees into the Fantasy Football Team Names Hall of Fame.

Here’s where puns meet pigskin and dad jokes get drafted in the first round.

The Fantasy Football Team Names Hall of Fame (FFTNHOF) returns for its fourth glorious year, honoring the cleverest, cringiest, and most creative team names from the history of fantasy football. Every year, the induction process gets harder, the puns sharper, and the competition fiercer. The 2025 class does not disappoint.

This year’s slate includes 10 team names that have become legendary in league group chats, trophy engravings, and waiver wire banter. The Senior Committee once again reaches back to recognize pioneering names from the early 2000s and the pre-PPR dark ages. At the same time, the League Names division adds two more iconic monikers that transformed ordinary leagues into weekly sitcoms with football consequences.

So dim the lights, cue the NFL Films music, and get ready to celebrate the Class of 2025: the gridiron wordsmiths whose team names have achieved eternal fantasy immortality.

Here’s our big list of fantasy football team names for 2025.

Fantasy Football Team Names Hall of Fame Inductees

1. Lamar the Merrier

If 2020 was the year of quarantine, Lamar Jackson was the year of fantasy explosion. This name not only rides the wave of Jackson’s MVP-caliber seasons but delivers a pun with perfect party-hosting vibes. Joyful, clever, and easily repeatable—this one is a fantasy classic.

2. A Rivers Runs Suh It

Combine a favorite Chargers QB with a famed Lions defensive tackle and you get a name like this.

3. Tua Legit to Quit

Tua Tagovailoa’s injury-plagued beginnings didn’t stop managers from crafting one of the most iconic names since “Brady Gaga” (still un-inducted, still on the ballot). Borrowing the legendary line from MC Hammer, this name became a staple across leagues by 2022 and hasn’t slowed since.

4. Final Dez-tination

Dez Bryant and a notable movie series make for a fun fantasy name.

5. Bijan Mustard

When Bijan Robinson entered the NFL in 2023, the condiment puns wrote themselves. This name stood above the rest—not just for the nod to the running back’s name, but for the spicy humor that made group chats chuckle every week. Bonus points to those who designed custom logos for it.

6. Last Manning Standing

The NFL’s football royalty is the Manning family. It’s only appropriate that a fantasy football team name recognizes that.

7. Manziel in Distress

A name that is not only a great play on words but descriptive of Johnny’s time in the NFL.

8. Kittle Corn

A sweet, salty tribute to tight end George Kittle—and perfect for fantasy managers with a sense of humor and a taste for snack-based puns. “Kittle Corn” became a tailgate-themed sensation and a favorite among teams looking to serve a little flavor with their fantasy firepower.

9. Fields of Dreams

Justin Fields’ name lent itself beautifully to this cinematic pun, making fantasy owners believe: “If you draft him, points will come.” Sure, his production has been inconsistent, but the name? Timeless.

10. My Favorite Marshawn

Marshawn Lynch had arguably one of the best runs in NFL history.

2025 Senior Committee Inductees

The Senior Committee honors iconic names from earlier fantasy eras that paved the way for today’s puns and pop culture fusions.

Witten Your Name

This Jason Witten-inspired gem was a go-to in the 2000s, especially among tight end enthusiasts and sentimental Cowboys fans. It rhymes, it’s romantic, and it belongs in the pantheon.

Wham! Bam! Thank You, Cam!

At the height of Cam Newton’s powers, this name was everywhere—from championship banners to toilet bowl teams. Equal parts exuberant and aggressive, it was the perfect fit for Newton’s MVP season and fashion-forward persona.

2025 Fantasy League Names Hall of Fame Inductees

Fantasy team names get the glory, but league names give the season identity. This year, we induct two standouts who transformed forgettable message boards into fantasy theater.

The Red Zone Rebellion

More than just a name, this league was a lifestyle. For managers who prioritize touchdowns over rational decision-making, this moniker became a rallying cry. It sounds like a Star Wars spinoff but delivers fantasy grit.

No Punt Intended

A punny name that includes a pun on a popular idiom with the word “pun”—what could be more Hall of Fame worthy?

What’s Next?

The FFTNHOF committee is already watching the 2025 fantasy season with keen eyes—and ears—for emerging wordplay greatness. Who will join the ranks in 2026? Will a clever Drake Maye pun surface? Is someone out there already drafting “The Daniels Strikes Back” with Jayden Daniels?

One thing’s sure: if the name makes your league laugh, groan, or immediately regret passing on it, it’s probably Hall of Fame material.

Stay clever, fantasy friends. And may your team names always be worthy of the waiver wire war you wage each week. (Say that three times fast!)

Do you have a legendary team or league name that deserves a nomination? Submit it for consideration for the 2026 class of the Fantasy Football Team Names Hall of Fame. And remember: it’s not whether you win or lose—it’s how punny your team name is.
